How to Survive a Zombie Apocalypse and Other Natural Disasters

Most people likely think of the zombie apocalypse as a fun, silly and imaginative thing that won’t happen or is so unlikely to happen that they don’t take the futuristic event seriously. I agree that the zombie apocalypse is a long way off and is not likely to happen, but understanding the importance of planning for a natural or man-made disaster can help save your and your families lives.

For instance, many of the zombie apocalypse preparation plans call for a disaster kit and an emergency plan. The disaster kit often includes water, food medications, tools and supplies, sanitation and hygiene supplies, clothing and bedding, important documents and first aid supplies. (How to Survive) Many of the items listed make sense to have in place for a natural or man-made disaster, not just for a zombie apocalypse. Because Zombie Apocalypse has the attention of many movie and TV watchers, it makes sense to add zombie apocalypse to the title of a disaster plan, particularly if it makes people want to build a disaster kit for their families.

POST Strategy for Zombie Apocalypse Preparation

The zombie apocalypse is a fun category to do research on. Even the CDC jumped on the bandwagon a few years ago and posted a number of articles about surviving a zombie apocalypse. Along the same genre of zombie lovers is the dooms-day preppers – they have a want and desire to survive a natural or man-made disaster, to include a zombie apocalypse.

I used the POST method to organize my social media campaign.

Ellie’s Letter to Peata Re: Marketing Plan Update – Peata Riley

Hello Peata,

I hope this letter finds you well.

As you know, the first two news releases were published in the Hamlet Ham weekly news letter. The first release titled Women Voted In as Member to Prestigious Gun Club was published over a month ago and has received good reviews. We’ve received several congratulatory letters as well as a few death threats, but that’s to be expected. Some people just don’t like women in high-ranking positions.

The second release titled Gun Handler’s Society’s New Initiative: The Riley Factor was released last Friday. It’s too early to tell what kind reception it will receive, but I believe it will be just as favorable as the first release, if not more, because it specifically talks about the new initiative and not about you.

Gun Handler’s Society’s New Initiative: The Riley Factor – Peata Riley

By Ellie Knolsby

MINCONSINOWA – The Riley Factor, the Gun Handler’s Society’s newest initiative, will offer proper gun handling to the everyday citizen.

“The Riley Factor will open its doors to everyday citizens to learn how to the handle a gun properly,” said Peata Riley, the program’s main conspirator. “If there is an interest, we want to help develop that interest in a safe, supportive and controlled environment.”

Meet the Knolsby’s – Peata Riley

On a path headed south I met a gun instructor. He was ahead of me on the trail. He was tall and massive across the shoulders. As he walked briskly through patches of sunlight, I caught a glint of steel through a hole in his knapsack and knew instantly that he was a gun handler. I had never seen a gun, except in pictures. I knew from my studies that only qualified gun handlers were allowed to carry guns.

“This is my chance,” I thought to myself.

I ran to catch up to him and asked abruptly, “Will you teach me how to shoot?”

He ignored me and walked faster. Although I was almost running, I kept his pace.

I spoke louder, almost shouting, thinking he did not hear me the first time, “Will you teach me how to shoot?”

Woman Voted in as Member to Prestigious Gun Club – Peata Riley

By Ellie Knolsby

MINCONSINOWA – Peata Riley is the first women gun handler and instructor in recent history to be welcomed as a member of the Gun Handler’s Society.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be a member of the Society,” said Riley. “It took a lot of hard work and the constant requirement to prove my skills to others to be voted in to this prestigious culture.”

The Gun Handler’s Society was created in 2189 to establish a collective presence in the country for proper gun handling and ownership. It is extremely rare that the Society would offer membership to a woman.

Gun Laws are Stupid – Peata Riley

I enter the information hub to see Gerjan standing watch at the door. He eyes me approvingly and says, “They’re upstairs, Peata.”

“What’s with the watchdog attitude, Gerjan?” I ask. “It’s just a meeting of the minds for a couple of gun handlers.”

“Apparently,” Gerjan begins with a hushed tone, “there have been a number of gun-related incidents about a thousand miles from here. We are far from the issues, but people are still scared. They know we have more than our fair share of gun handlers in this hamlet. The people are frightened with what is happening a thousand miles away will happen here.”

Gerjan is worried. His deep wrinkles are set even tighter on his forehead and his usual worry-me-not demeanor looks slightly shaken.
